Nice was a "pop-over" city, not a final destination and it definitely demands a longer visit. Nice has a long expanse of beach and many narrow and intriguing market areas, but I was most intrigued by the colors of the harbor area.

While in Bordeaux, we thought we'd pop over to Nice. But it was far! The fastest way to get there was via the expressway which turned out to be a very expensive toll road for the entire distance. It was lovely there, but in the end, it was really too far for a pop-over and we should have saved it for another time.
If you visit Nice, be sure to pop-over to Monaco (and drive the scenic route)!
