From Fethiye, we hopped on a bus and made our way to Pamukkale, Turkey, where you'll find hot springs with warm water is flowing over terraces of travertine rock. A UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Hot spring water flows over travertine, carbonite mineral deposits. Taking your shoes off is mandatory!

The most wondrous part of the ancient ruins at Pamukkale is that there is absolutely no museum-like restrictions to access. Pamukkale has baths and hot springs pools, so the majority of tourists were far from the ruins and in the water. We were nearly alone in our exploration of the ruins, which we could walk through freely. Amazing.
