For many, Nevada is synonymous with Las Vegas. Because of work conferences (the January Consumer Electonics Show), John and I have both been to Las Vegas at least a dozen times which, for me, is about 10 times too many.
Nonetheless, I'd definitely recommend that everyone visit Las Vegas at least once, just to enjoy a truly unique, and sometimes bizarre, American experience.

My very favorite memory from Las Vegas was when John and I renewed our wedding vows with Elvis at the Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel.
I'm not a gambler, at all! I've been to Vegas multiple times without wagering a penny but still found plenty of amusement with plays, magic shows, drinks and dining.
My favorite spot for a dinner in perpetual dusk, at the Venetian Hotel:
Northern Nevada is the home to Reno, just adjacent to California's beautiful Lake Tahoe.
As a young child, David enjoyed cross-country ski-ing followed by playtime at the kids arcade in Reno, NV.
